Biography
Sara Silva was born in Brussels in 1989 and raised by a creative Portuguese duo: her mother, a kindergarten teacher passionate about handcrafts, and her father, a photographer and security team leader for the President of the European Commission.
After a childhood filled with piano lessons, diving, and cultural adventures, Sara moved to a farm in Portugal, where she fell in love with photography. At 11, her father gave her his first camera, and the darkroom became their shared creative space.
From 14 to 21, Sara swam professionally before studying Interior Design in Porto, where she honed her ability to turn ideas into visuals. In 2012, she returned to Brussels and explored various creative fields, including scenography, food styling, PR, and film.
For the past five years, Sara thrived at ILA, a photo and film production company representing top-tier photographers, directors, and digital artists. At ILA, she worked closely with creative talents to bring their visions to life into crafted presentations, creating cohesive narratives and connect with audiences.
Now, Sara is in process of moving to the Scandinavian Moutains, seeking a sense of community and the joy of being surrounded by nature. With access to year-round outdoor activities—from snowy winters to sunny summers—she’s ready to embrace this new chapter while continuing her creative journey.
